Marketing and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising/promotional agencies, (“Contest Entities”), and members of the immediate family or persons living in the same household of such individuals, are ineligible to participate or win a prize. Additionally, tendered Entries that become the object of a claimed grievance pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that do not reasonably appear to fully comply with all requirement set forth herein may be suspended and/or disqualified by Sponsor at any time. All Entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned, provided that upon Entry, Entrants may retain a license to republish the contents of their Essay or Video accompanied by a link to Site on personal websites or in conjunction with social media platforms/accounts for purposes of communicating their Entry in the Contest and inviting participation by eligible persons via Public Voting. No correspondence regarding the screening, verification or judging status of Entries will be undertaken by Sponsor.
PUBLIC VOTING: During the Contest Period (also “Voting Period”), go online to www.howdoyou.com and follow the online directions to register to vote. Public voting open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) who are at least 18 years of age at the time of voting participation. Individuals within the definition of Contest Entities are ineligible for voting participation. All eligible individuals as defined above are herein referred to as “Voter”. Voters can vote for an Entry posted in the Gallery by “Voting” once throughout the Voting Period. Limit ten (10) Votes per eligible person and/or e-mail address per calendar day during the Voting Period. Votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, will be considered invalid. Use of multiple e-mail addresses by a voter to cast votes is a violation of these rules and may result, in Sponsors sole discretion, in such votes not being counted and/or the disqualification of an Entry for a Weekly Public Voting Prize. Each Entry that receives a “Vote” will receive one (1) point (“Public Voting Score”). Beginning June 7, 2010 and for each of the following ten (10) weeks, ending August 22, 2010, (a week is defined from Monday at 12:00:00 am MDT through Sunday at 11:59:59 p.m. MDT), the Entry that receives the most Votes in each defined week, will win the Weekly Public Voting Prize, subject to verification. CONTEST JUDGING:
Round 1: An independent, qualified panel of judges selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will judge all eligible Entries based on the following criteria:
The twenty-five (25) highest scoring Entries (provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received) will advance to Round 2 of judging. In the event of a tie of total score between two (2) or more Entries, the Entry with the highest score for Criteria 1 will be declared the higher ranked Entry and if a tie remains thereafter, the Entry with the highest score for Criteria 2 will be declared the higher ranking Entry, and so on until the tie is broken). If fewer than 25 eligible entries are received, all eligible entries will advance to Round 2 of judging.
Round 2: The twenty-five (25) highest scoring Entries from Round 1 of judging will be re-judged by a second independent, qualified panel of judges selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion, based on the following criteria:The Entrants submitting the Entries receiving the top three scores will be declared the potential Grand, First and Second Prize Contest winners respectively, subject to verification (in the event of a tie of total score between two (2) or more Entries, the Entry with the highest score for Criteria 1 will be declared the higher ranked Entry and if a tie remains thereafter, the Entry with the highest score for Criteria 2 will be declared the higher ranking Entry, and so on until the tie is broken). The judges’ decisions on all matters pertaining to judging, administering and/or interpreting the terms and conditions of this Contest are final. Judging will be completed on or about September 9, 2010.
